Vaccinations
Khatali has been providing vaccination and mobile clinics since the approval of the COVID-19 Vaccines. All COVID-19 vaccinations are FREE through insurance or a federal program for the uninsured. There is no out-of-pocket to patients who choose to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.

Vaccine Availability
Khatali utilizes three separate types of vaccinations based on state, city, or county direction. These vaccinations include:

-
Moderna
-
Pfizer
-
Johnson and Johnson
COVID-19 Vaccine boosters are also available for fully vaccinated patients based on guidelines set by the CDC.

Day of Vaccination Services
If you choose to get the COVID-19 vaccine, an on-site staff member will give you your first dose at your visit and schedule your second dose.
If you are scheduling a COVID-19 vaccine dose that is not the first dose, be prepared to bring your vaccination card with you on the day of your appointment. An on-site team member will document this information for state reporting requirements.

Post-vaccination Side Effects
The COVID-19 vaccine allows your body’s immune system to protect you against the virus. These vaccines also prevent the virus from making you seriously ill and prevent possible hospitalization. After your vaccination, it takes about two (2) weeks for your body to develop this type of protection against the virus. Even if you are vaccinated, it is important to maintain state safety measures. Vaccinations are not 100% effective. Should you or a family member be exposed to COVID-19, it is important to follow safety measures that have been established for your protection.
According to the CDC, you may have some side effects after getting a COVID-19 vaccine. These side effects are normal and signal that your body is building its protection.
Common side effects may include:

-
Pain and swelling on the arm where you got the shot
-
Fever
-
Chills
-
Headache or tiredness throughout the rest of your body
These side effects typically go away within a few days. If side effects last longer than normal or if you are concerned, you can schedule a telehealth consultation with a provider of Khatali to discuss any symptoms you may be experiencing.
